NAPLAN

For the families of our Year 3 and Year 5 students that completed NAPLAN this year, on Friday you should have received the results from the 4 tests on Reading, Writing, Spelling and Grammar and Punctuation. The results are sent home in 2 pages - An Individual Student Summary, which states your child's achievement score and their proficiency level, and a Student Report, which gives an indication of where your child sits within the proficiency levels, and how they compare to other similar aged students at the school and also nationally.

If you require any assistance with the documents, please feel free to bring the reports into the front office and chat with me, or feel free to speak with your child's classroom teacher.

For the student's who did not complete NAPLAN, we have several other forms of standardised testing. If you would like to discuss these and your child's participation, please let me know.

Science Week 2024

The school theme for National Science Week in 2024 is Species Survival - More than just sustainability. The theme aims to highlight the importance of science and innovation in ensuring the survival and thriving of different species in an ever-changing world.

During Heart Learning next week and through Science Week, students will have the opportunity to engage with activities such as: disease-causing organisms, life-saving chemicals, clean water, photosynthesis, genetic screening, physics of building structures, artificial intelligence, and microplastics.
