This term, we are streaming the Year 1 and Year 2 students. This is to support staff in the new Science of Learning approach that has been adopted system-wide.

In my role, I have been modelling the 'explicit instruction' model designed to increase engagement and student achievement.

The Year 2 students have been working on locating the main idea with supporting detail. It has been wonderful to see how engaged they are as a cohort. There is some wonderful learning happening and I have been thrilled with how focussed and on task they have been during the Literacy Block.
