Stage 2 Soccer Update

The Stage 2 boys had an impressive unbeaten streak at the end of Term 2 and aimed to continue their strong performance in Term 3. They faced a formidable Cherrybrook PS side, who were undefeated going into this game. Despite Cherrybrook’s reputation for scoring an average of four goals per game, the Roselea boys gave them a tough match. Cherrybrook started strong with a quick goal, but Beau from 4F equalized shortly after, bringing momentum back to Roselea. Although the boys ultimately lost 4-1, their passion and sportsmanship were commendable throughout the game.

The Stage 2 girls also showed great skill and passion but ended up losing 2-0 to the Cherrybrook girls. Special recognition goes to Taylor from 4J, who made incredible saves as the goalkeeper. In her second season as a goalkeeper, Taylor’s understanding and skills have improved dramatically. She made quick decisions during one-on-one situations, narrowing the angle for Cherrybrook strikers and making potential game-saving saves that kept the scoreline within reach.

Overall, it was a fantastic week of PSSA, with smiles and happiness evident on and off the field.
