Dear Parents and Friends,
Welcome to week two of the term. This week our Prep class will complete 100 days of school! They will enjoy a special celebration tomorrow and share some fun items at our assembly.
Swimming lessons commenced on Monday and all students participated. The lessons ran well and instructors tested the swimming ability of students. Swimming lessons will continue every Monday until the end of the term. Please make sure your child wears their sport uniform and has all their clothes labelled with their name. Thanks to those parents that assisted with supervising students.
A number of students from China have recently joined our Years 3-6 classes as part of a Study Tour Program. They are here for a short period of time and have the opportunity to experience life at school in Australia.
A reminder to parents, please do not send your child to school if they are coughing or unwell.
If your child is coughing whilst at school, they will be given a mask to wear. If the cough is continuing, we will contact you to collect them.
There is so much winter illness going through the school at the moment, this is our best defence against spreading illness.
Our Parent's Association has organised a raffle and all funds raised will be used to assist with paying for the new senior playground. Raffle tickets and information have been sent home with your child today. The new playground will be installed early next term. The cost of this playground is about $60,000. This cost is funded by money from the school budget, funds raised from the Study Tour as well as community fundraising.
Our assembly tomorrow will be at 3pm in the hall. This will include students of the week as well as a presentation from our Prep students who will complete their 100th day at school tomorrow! All welcome.
On Tuesday after school a large number of students participated in a soccer program run by Sports Star Academy. Next Tuesday will be another free trial session. If you would like your child to take part, register via the flyer below.
If you have any concerns regarding your child, please see their teacher or myself.
Enjoy the weekend
