Week 1 Parent Letter

Dear Parents, 

Welcome back to term 3! We hope you had a nice break over the holidays. Term 3 is going to be a great term, full of learning and fun experiences. 

What have we been up to in the classroom?

In Maths, we will be focusing on Multiplication and Division facts, including doubling and halving.  In Literacy, we are focusing on Autobiographies and  Information Reports this term and have been developing our research skills.

Inquiry 

Our inquiry unit for this term is ‘The best designs come from many minds’. This unit will have 2 key focus areas:

• Design and Creativity
• Teamwork and cooperation

We are looking forward to some fantastic design solutions and developing our skills in working with others along the way. There will be an incursion to support this, more details coming soon.

Fruit Snack

If possible please pack fruit snack in a separate container, so that it can be left on the table at the beginning of the day.

Mathletics tasks are set and available for your child to complete at home if you choose.

Term 3 is often the cold and flu season with coughs and colds moving through the year level. Please keep your children at home if they are feeling unwell to prevent the spread as much as possible.
