Head of Students News

Mr Peter Serone

Winter Uniform, Term 3

As Winter is upon us, students are reminded that the MCA hoodie and jumpers other than the Marist woollen formal jumper are not to be worn to and from school. The College uniform also offers the option for students to wear trousers.

Mastering Mental Health in the Digital Age

This forum aims to bring together principals, educators, community organisations, policy-makers, parents, and carers to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with social media use among children. Southbank TAFE has generously provided an auditorium for this gathering where our goals are to:

  • Raise Awareness: Discuss the effects of social media on children's mental health, supported by the latest research and data.
  • Share Tools and Strategies: Provide practical tools and strategies for educators and parents to help children navigate the online world safely.
  • Foster Collaboration: Encourage a collaborative approach to addressing online safety, involving all stakeholders in our community.
  • Develop Action Plans: Create actionable plans that schools and families can implement to promote healthy online habits.

We believe that by coming together we can make a significant positive impact on our children's wellbeing. Your participation and support is crucial to the success of this initiative. Light refreshments will be provided and a free audio copy of Selena's book, "BEING SEEN" Master Parenting in the Digital Age.
