Leadership Report
Welcome Back!
I hope that all our families had the chance to spend some quality time together during the midyear break.
For the first time in many years, we welcome new Reception students starting at Magill school in Term 3. I want to welcome all 43 of our newest members, and all of their families to Magill School. They've had a great start and have settled in very well.
As usual, there's always a lot going on with many events and excursions planned, including; Footsteps, Book Week, Year 5 Camp, Festival of Music, Sports Day, and Year 6 Market Day, just to name a few. We also have a pupil free day on Friday the 30th August followed by a closure day for the Adelaide Show on Monday 2nd September.
Work on the new playground is well underway and it's very exciting to see it taking shape. With much of the earth works completed, they can now start installing the many elements of the new design. You should start to see things change dramatically over the next few months. Weather permitting, we should have it complete in October.
We experienced a great deal of sickness last term with many staff and students having extended time off from the many nasty illnesses going around. With so many people on site and in close proximity to each other, illness spreads very quickly. It serves as reminder that we all need to make sure we maintain good hygiene practices, and if sick, stay home and recover.
I'm looking forward to a great term ahead.
Kind regards
John Iannunzio
