Netball Victoria School Championships
Good luck to our Sacred Heart netball team who are playing in the 2024 Netball Victoria School Championships tomorrow in Melbourne. We hope they have a great day.
Green and Gold Day
On Friday 2nd August the whole school will be involved in a Mini Olympics at school. This will take place between recess and lunch. In their class groups, children will rotate through a variety of Olympic activities (lead by our wonderful Year 6 leaders). Students are invited to dress up in the colours green and gold in support of the Australian Olympic team. Students are reminded that they will need to wear appropriate footwear for the activities.
AFL 9’s
A number of our Year 5/6 students will be competing in the AFL 9’s competition which will take place Tuesday 6th August at the Colac Central Reserve. This is a modified game of football where there are only 9 players on the field at once.
More information will be sent home via PAM for selected students.
Colac Division Badminton Tournament
On Friday 16th August the Colac Division Badminton Tournament will be held at the Badminton courts at the Colac Showgrounds. Our older students are currently working on their badminton skills in the PE classes. More information will be sent home via PAM for selected students.
Colac All-Girls Superkick
AFL Barwon are offering a program for girls interested in football. This program is called the Colac All-Girls Superkick.
This will start on Wednesday 21st August from 4:15 – 5:15pm at the Western Oval
(please see flyer below).
Colac Division Golf Tournament
Unfortunately School Sport Victoria (SSV) have decided to no longer be involved in golf. This is very disappointing because we have a number of students who really enjoy the game. As a division and with the support of the Colac Golf Club, we have decided to still go ahead and run a Colac Division Golf Tournament. This will take place on Friday 30th August at the Colac Golf Club. The day will commence at 9:15am and finish at 1:15pm.
This is open to all students in Year 5 and 6 who enjoy the game and would like to participate in a modified 9 course game of golf. Students who enter the tournament must have an adult to walk around the course with them. The adult responsibilities include safety, etiquette and scoring where necessary.
Please Note: We must have 1 adult to every 3 children, so you may be able to make an arrangement with friends.
These helpers, must hold a current ‘Working With Children Check’ and the school office has sighted and entered your details.
Interested students can collect an entry form at the school gym. The cost for the day is $5.00.
