Meet The Staff

Montessori Teachers

Judith Ryall

I have been involved with Mitcham Primary School’s Montessori programme since 2004 when the first Montessori classroom opened its doors. I love being able to witness the growth of the students in every way. I love how no two days are ever the same, and the learning journeys of all the students are so different from each other. My other interests and passions are reading, sewing, knitting, crochet, cleaning, fancy rats and JuJu the cat.

Sandy Kaye

I have been teaching at MPS for four years now but have been a part of the community for 7 as my children also attend MPS.  I feel very blessed to be able to work in such a warm and creative environment and get such joy guiding the children in their learning.  On the weekends I love to spend time in the garden, watch my children play sport and walk my little dog Charlie.

Marina Rich

I have been at MPS for a long time! The children’s enthusiasm for exploring, creating and building community is what makes coming to work a joy for me. It’s a privilege to be a witness and guide to the children’s learning. They inspire me to learn more about the world. I enjoy storytelling,  reading, traveling, the outdoors and zumba!

Judith Sivasubramaniam

I’ve spent my teaching career between Performing Arts and Montessori, and I couldn’t be more happy to be a part of the Cycle 2 Montessori team. I’ve been connected to MPS since 2011, and returned to Montessori here again in 2021. I love seeing our children blossom through the 3 year cycle and creating an environment where curiosity thrives and independence blossoms! I have a deep-rooted belief in the power of Montessori education which integrates well with a love of nature and caring for the environment.

Val Berardini

I’m Val but some of you might know me as Mrs B. I have been teaching at MPS for the past 25 years and I believe it is the best school! I am passionate about teaching and working with the students supporting them in their learning journey. When I am not at school I like going on holidays, knitting, taking the dogs Ollie and Schnitzel for walks and spending time with my children and 8 grandchildren.
