Dear Mitcham Primary School Community,
We have had a brilliant couple of weeks at Mitcham Primary School! It has been a time filled with milestones, adventures, and celebrations, truly reflecting the vibrant spirit of our school community.
Firstly, congratulations to our Prep students for reaching the incredible milestone of 100 days of school. This is such a significant achievement, and it was wonderful to see the joy and excitement as they celebrated this special day. The energy and enthusiasm of our youngest learners (and their fabulous teachers) is truly inspiring.
Our Grade 3/4 students returned from an unforgettable camp at Arrabri Lodge in Warburton on Wednesday afternoon. Blessed with beautiful blue skies for most of the camp, the students embraced a range of outdoor activities including archery, ropes courses, the flying fox, and the giant swing. It was wonderful to see them challenging themselves, supporting each other, and having so much fun. The visit to Healesville Sanctuary added a different twist to the adventure, allowing the students to connect with nature and learn more about our amazing wildlife. Thank you so much to all the teachers for organising and facilitating this memorable experience.
Today, we celebrated our very own Mitcham Primary School Olympics. It was a joy to witness all students participating with such enthusiasm and sportspersonship. The way our students embodied the Olympic values of excellence, respect, and friendship was truly commendable. Congratulations to each and every one for their hard work and dedication.
None of these wonderful experiences would be possible without the dedication and creativity of our teachers. Their commitment to creating and facilitating rich, engaging learning opportunities for our students is extraordinary. Thank you to all our teachers for your tireless efforts and the positive impact you have on our school community.
As we continue through this term, let’s carry forward the joy, excitement, and sense of achievement that these recent events have brought us. Together, we are making Mitcham Primary School a place where every student can thrive and enjoy a rich educational journey.
Warmly,
