Welcome back to students, staff and parents/guardians to the start of term 3, 2024.

Term 3 is a hectic term for everyone. Events to come in term 3 include online year 12 parent/ teacher interviews and the Careers Expo, which is compulsory for all year 9, year 10 and year 11 students.

One of the most significant events on the school calendar in 2024 is the musical “Shrek”. During term 2 and up until the performance date, many students and teachers have spent countless hours during lunchtime, after school, on weekends, and even during the school holidays preparing for Shrek the Musical.

The musical will be performed on the 25th and 26th of July this year. Please support all the students and staff working on the musical by purchasing tickets online before time runs out.

House Captain Report

St John’s students had an eventful term 2, with many fundraising activities throughout the term. These fundraisers helped raise money for both the Lasallian Foundation and Wellsprings for Women. Money was raised by holding many food and drink sales from all the houses run by the House SRCs and House Captains.

Items that were sold included drinks, popcorn, pizza, hot chips, and Krispy Kreme donuts.

On the last day of term 2, the MAD day walk was held. The students walked 8km to represent the distance women in many countries may have to walk to access water used for drinking and other essentials. Before the walk students were provided with hot sausages in a bun and a nice cold drink by the College. This helped provide them with some energy for the walk. As we start term 3, St John’s will raise money for a Cambodian School through more food and drink sales.

Please help support this great cause.
