Art and Design Show

Celebrating student creativity

On 29 November, the Northcote High School Art and Design Departments hosted a celebration of students’ achievements, bringing together the school community. Although the weather forced everyone inside early in the evening, the event featured the presentation of awards to students from Year 7 to Year 11, and musical performances by our talented students.

The Art and Design Show showcased work from the Design, Media, Visual Art, and Visual Communication Design classes. Attendees enjoyed a variety of paintings, drawings, sculptures, videos, documentaries, podcasts, zines, technical product and architecture drawings and installations. Former NHS student Charlie O'Brien, a 2019 graduate, shared his journey, discussing his experience with Top Arts and Top Designs and how his path has evolved. It was a wonderful evening of celebration, and we extend our thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to making the event memorable.

Congratulations to all the Art Club members who helped complete the memorial Artwork for Shirley Barbara, which is now displayed in the PAC building. The Art piece has a poem that Shirley wrote embedded in the centre of the work.
