FAMILY FUN NIGHT
What is the Family Fun Night
Family Fun Night is our biggest fundraising event of the year. It is a great opportunity for all past and present members of the Plenty Parklands Community to get together and enjoy a fun evening in each other’s company!
How can I get involved:
Attend on the night:
The most important way to get involved is to come along with your family on the night and join in the activities.
Volunteer your time:
A lot of time and effort goes into planning our Family Fun Night event and it is only possible thanks to the dedication and commitment of our PPPS volunteers. You can assist before the event, by attending one of our volunteer sessions and packaging lolly bags, wrapping hampers, collating raffle tickets, preparing lucky dip prizes etc.
We will be seeking volunteers on the following dates to assist:
Tuesday 4 February
Thursday 6 February (pack lolly bags)
Tuesday 11 February (pack lucky dip items)
Thursday 13 February (preparing hampers)
Tuesday 18 February
We are also looking for volunteers to help on the night to either to assist for an hour or two or even running and coordinating a stall. All volunteers will receive information regarding what is required, and each stall will also have PPPS staff members to assist.
Donate raffle prizes
We are seeking raffle prizes for our hampers. Some things you might like to donate are:
- New toys
- Arts and craft supplies
- New books
- Chocolates, lollies, and other gourmet food items
- Self-care items such as candles, fragrances, and homewares
- A voucher to your favourite store
- A voucher or hamper from your family business.
Please ensure all items donated are new and are within their best before dates where applicable. All families who donate will receive a principals thank you certificate.
Donate goods or services
You may own or work at a business that can donate goods or services for the evening.
For example, a cafe or catering business might donate sweets for our bake sale, a hairdresser may donate colour hair spray, or a beauty salon may donate a voucher for a raffle prize.
Prepare baked goods for our bake sale
If you love to bake and create, we invite you to make some goodies for our Bake Sale. We ask that all items provided are nut free, individually packed, don’t require refrigeration, and include a full ingredient list on each package.
Due to storage restrictions, baked items will need to be delivered to the school no earlier than the morning of Family Fun Night, Thursday 20 February.
How do I pay for rides / activities on the night
Cash is not accepted as payment for any of the stalls, besides the coffee van. To make any purchases you will need to use ‘coupons’. Each coupon costs $1.
Coupons can be purchased using cash or EFTPOS on the evening, but you may wish to avoid the queues and pre-purchase coupons, via the Qkr! app. They will be on sale from the first week back to school in 2025!
Pre-purchased coupons will be available for collection from 4pm on the evening of Fun Night outside the front office. They will be bundled by family in a labelled and sealed envelope.
Unfortunately, we will be unable to refund any unused coupons.
A flyer will be distributed closer to the day with the cost of each activity / item.
Will there be any free activities
We will have a number of free activities on the night ranging from student performances to games, and sporting activities.
