RMPS Art Show
Roberts McCubbin Primary School is named after two great Australian artists, Tom Roberts and Frederick McCubbin, who painted their iconic Australian bush landscapes in the Box Hill South area.
We take inspiration from and honour these artists in our school song and through two of our core school values – creativity and endeavour.
RMPS has a strong history of engaging our students in creative pursuits through our dedicated arts program.
This year we celebrate 30 years and are excited to share the talents of our local arts community and to raise funds for the RMPS arts program.
Our exhibition showcases the work of local established and emerging artists from a variety of artistic disciplines including oil, water colour, photography, sculpture and mixed media.
Art Show 2025
In 2025 the RMPS Art Show will celebrate its 30th year!
We are excited to announce our guest artists for 2025 are Melinda Campbell and Craig Mackie.
Craig has been painting since 2008 and focuses on “buildings and landscapes in our everyday lives we give little notice to”, especially those around the Box Hill area.
Melinda has been painting for over 20 years and draws her inspiration from nature, “revelling in the flow of colour, light, line and shape” that she keen observes in her natural surroundings.
Dates:
Opening night: Friday 14th March, 2025
Exhibition and Sales: Saturday 15th March, 2025
Details of the opening night event will be posted on the website, in the school newsletter and also on the art show Instagram profile.

Raffle prize
2025 Raffle Prize: ‘Shelter’ by Craig Mackie, 51cm x 51cm acrylic on canvas.
Every year as part of our art show fund raising, we raffle an artwork donated by the previous year’s winning artist.
In 2025 the art show raffle prize will be donated by Craig Mackie, who won the Best in Show art prize in 2024 for his painting ‘Gone’.

Also, there is still an opportunity for you to join the art show committee if you would like! We have a few parents who will finish up at the end of 2025 so it would be a great opportunity to come on board and learn what is involved to help ensure that our wonderful art show can still continue for years to come.
