Our exchange to Trafalgar Castle School in Canada was unforgettable. From exploring new cities and cultures to making lifelong friends, every moment felt like a new adventure.
One of our first highlights was FlyOver Canada, a virtual reality ride where we soared over mountains, lakes, and cities with wind and mist making it feel incredibly real. We also visited Whistler Village and the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, where we joined in a cultural dance and learnt about Indigenous history.
In Toronto, we cheered on the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre and even spotted Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things in the crowd. The next day, we visited the CN Tower, and the view from the top was just as breathtaking as we’d imagined. The gift shop was a favourite too and our suitcases definitely came back heavier.
Niagara Falls was like something out of a movie. The mist, the endless photo ops, the walk along the edge, it was incredible. We also explored Clifton Hill, had lunch at the Rainforest Café, and did a bit of souvenir shopping.
On Grouse Mountain, we were surprised by snow. We rode the gondola up, hiked through the cold to spot the grizzly bears, and warmed up in the café with hot chips. It was freezing but so worth it.
This exchange gave us the chance to see and do things we’ve only ever dreamed of and we’re so grateful we got to experience it together.
