Music

Purpose
In Year 10 Music, our goal is to immerse students in a journey of musical exploration and performance, preparing them thoroughly for future studies in VCE music. Through hands-on engagement with musical elements and technology, students will creatively experiment and develop innovative performance pieces. They will deepen their understanding of musical expression through voice and instruments, enhancing technical skills and interpretative abilities by rigorously practicing composing, performing, and analyzing diverse musical styles. Collaboration with peers on composition projects and exploration of global musical traditions will broaden their skills and cultural awareness. Reflective exercises will guide students in assessing their growth and aspirations in music. Culminating in performances, our aim is to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong passion for music.
