Grade 3 News

Over the next few weeks, we’re exploring Finding Our Heart by Thomas Mayo - a beautifully illustrated children’s book that shares the meaning and spirit of the Uluru Statement from the Heart in an age-appropriate way.
The story invites young readers to reflect on truth-telling, empathy, and unity, encouraging them to think about how we can walk together toward a better future for all Australians. Through this book, we’re fostering conversations about respect, inclusivity, and reconciliation, helping children understand that every voice matters - especially those of our First Nations peoples.
We encourage you to ask your child what stood out to them and what the “heart” means in their own words.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to continue these conversations at home.
This fortnight has seen our students learning about categorical and discrete numerical data. They conducted interviews and asked their peers a categorical and numerical question, collated the raw data, created frequency charts and used technology to make column graphs. Students enjoyed having a chance to interview their peers in a meaningful way.
You’re Invited – Liturgy Celebrating the Fruits of the Spirit
We warmly invite you to join us for our Grade 3 liturgy on Thursday 19th June at 2:45pm, as we gather to reflect on the Fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
This special time together is an opportunity to celebrate the ways these spiritual gifts are alive in our school community and in our lives. Through prayer, song, and reflection, our students will share how they see and live out these fruits every day.
We hope you can be part of this meaningful celebration.
