What a fantastic time we’ve had in Grade 1!
The students have been busy learning, creating, and exploring in so many exciting ways.
In our Narrative unit, students have been working hard on writing fabulous stories.
A class favourite has been writing about Fred the Green Frog!
Students did a fantastic job using descriptive language and following a clear narrative structure. It’s been wonderful to see their creativity shine through!
We’ve started our new Religion unit all about Baptism.
The children have been thinking about the different groups and communities they belong to, and how Baptism is the beginning of our journey in the Catholic faith.
Lots of thoughtful discussions have taken place!
In Maths, we are focusing on addition and subtraction.
The students have been using concrete materials like counters and number lines to help them solve problems and strengthen their understanding. It’s great to see them building confidence with these important skills.
A reminder that we have a pupil free day this Wednesday, teachers will be gathering for some professional learning.
We’re so proud of all the hard work and enthusiasm the students are showing.
