SMFASS Fundraising efforts across 2024

SMFASS is proud to have recently funded several exciting new additions to St Mary’s, helping enhance both creative learning and active play for our students.

Through the generous support of our school community, SMFASS has been able to provide:

Two brand new digital screens for the Innovation and Creativity Hub (Art and STEAM room), giving students and teachers the tools to explore and present their ideas in new and interactive ways.
A set of portable soccer goals and new balls for the school yard, encouraging more physical activity, teamwork, and fun during recess, lunchtime and sport.

These contributions represent a total investment of just over $10,500 directly funded by the efforts of SMFASS and the ongoing support of our amazing school community.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, attended events, or volunteered their time. Your support makes initiatives like this possible and continues to enrich the experience of every child at St Mary’s.

We will keep you updated on future investments including the much anticipated Gaga Pit.

SMFASS Father & Child Bowling Nights

The SMFASS Father (or Father Figure) & Child Ten Pin Bowling Nights at Strike were a huge success, with strong attendance of approximately 35–45 participants at each session across the different year levels. This series was a fantastic initiative that truly reflects our purpose - helping dads (father figures) build meaningful relationships with their kids in a relaxed and fun environment.

Held at Strike Bowling, Highpoint every Monday from 12th May to 30th June, the events were filled with energy, connection, laughs, and plenty of friendly competition. A huge thank you to Adrian Mott for coordinating with Strike Bowling to bring this idea to life!

This was more than just a game of bowling, it was a chance to pause, connect, and create some great memories with the kids. Well done to everyone involved and thank you to all the families who participated. We look forward to more opportunities like this in the future!
