MASHED Theatre Company Presents ‘Bully’ to Year 8 Students
This week, Greater Shepparton Secondary College was privileged to welcome the talented MASHED Theatre Company to our school. They delivered a powerful and thought-provoking production titled ‘Bully’ to our Year 8 students.
‘Bully’ is a engaging live performance that explores the complexities of bullying in schools and online spaces. Through real-life scenarios, humour, and relatable characters, the production helps students understand the impacts of bullying not only on victims but also on bystanders and perpetrators.
The performance sparked important conversations around empathy, respect, and how the choices we make can affect others. It encouraged our students to think critically about their own actions and provided practical strategies for standing up against bullying and supporting their peers.
Feedback from students and staff has been positive. Many students commented on how relatable and relevant the performance was, and how it opened their eyes to the different forms bullying can take.
We thank MASHED Theatre Company for delivering such an impactful and meaningful experience for our students. Programs like this are an important part of our school’s commitment to promoting kindness, resilience, and a safe learning environment for all.

- Understanding the concept of comfort zones and how they affect us
- Creating awareness of others experiences to build empathy
- Empowering individuals to create a positive change
Students will take part in the 90-minute session onsite at GSSC on Wednesday (July 23) and Thursday (July 24). An incursion will appear on your students compass.
