Before & After School Care

Weekly Highlights - Term 3 Week 1
Welcome back to Term 3 Lalor East PS TheirCare
Here is our land, here is our sky, here are our children and here am I. We stand together hand in hand to appreciate the Aboriginal People of this land.
Welcome back everyone. It’s been terrific seeing all the children back again. Hooray! I am so happy to see happy faces especially back at TheirCare. This week is very exciting, to meet some new friends who have joined our TheirCare service, we would like to welcome all of you back to Term 3.
For the past week we have been concentrating on getting back to our routine and getting to know each other, children from Lalor East PS were busy enough to rearrange our play space and update and decorate our walls. During this week we also did some cooking as per our planned experiences and made some playdough, children were also able to engage in group games in the gym or outdoors.
Weekly Highlights - Term 3 Week 2
Friendship Week
Friendship is an important aspect of life. Our lives are enriched when we are in quality friendships. School friendships play such a critical role in how child develops emotionally and socially. This week Lalor East TheirCare children were able to work on they friendships while explore clay, making friendships bracelets, play in group games like soccer, ga ga ball or even sitting down and chatting with each other as we all were able to share ideas, plan our session and learn about the importance of us practising drill.
It is amazing to see children being actively involved in our program as they contribute by giving us ideas on what next. Play is a critical process in child development that promotes cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth, forming a foundation for lifelong learning and well-being. Play fosters creativity, imagination, and physical strength while enhancing decision-making and problem-solving skills. Children engage in play activities that stimulate brain development and allow them to explore the world and themselves.
