COPS ‘n’ ROBBERS

Would you choose a lawful life or a life of crime just to see your old friends again?

That’s the decision Detective Elijah has to make in ‘Cops 'n' Robbers’, Oberon High School’s student written and directed 2025 School Production.

The show begins with Detective Elijah being instructed to conduct an investigation into the infamous 'Bromley Bank Robbers'. What his superior, Captain Bruce doesn't know is that Detective Elijah was a former member of that criminal organisation. Forced to investigate, Elijah must go undercover to recover former friendships and convince them to partake in one last heist. Will he betray them or remember the joys of his previous life? Only Detective Elijah can decide.

With less than two months to go the cast and crew of this year’s production are busily rehearsing and refining their talents to bring you this amazing performance. Their endless energy and expertise in crafting these characters is inspiring and the show is shaping up to be a memorable one with the toe tapping tunes and fabulous choreography.

Students were given the opportunity to engage in a whole day rehearsal at the end of last month and it was great to see it all come together. What is particularly exciting and amazing about this year’s production is that it is not only student written but student directed. This performance of Cops ‘n’ Robbers will be a world premiere and it’s certainly an honour to be working with these motivated individuals who were able to bring their vision to life.

Not just a play, the band have been rehearsing some familiar tunes designed to engage the audience in musical delight. Our choreographers have also been hard at work bringing some eye-catching dances to life.

Behind the scenes students are involved in set construction and design, sound, lighting, props, make-up, photography and backstage.

  • Saturday 9th August 1.00pm and 7.00pm
