Celebrating Wellbeing at Health Week

Last week, the College celebrated Health Week—a vibrant lead-up to Lumen Day that focused on wellbeing, creativity, and connection.
Each day at break time, students were invited to participate in activities designed to support mental and physical health. There was something for everyone: from mindful colouring and a fruit-flavoured water station, to the high-energy fun of 'Just Dance' and lunchtime Bingo. Students also enjoyed tasting blueberry smoothies, a delicious and healthy treat that was a clear favourite.
One of the most heartwarming events of the week was ‘crafternoon’, where students Ivanna Tertychna, Tegan Thobaven, Tamasin O’Hara and her grandmother, taught fellow students how to crochet. It was a peaceful and popular session that brought students together through creativity and shared learning.
Staff were also encouraged to care for their wellbeing, with opportunities to attend Pilates, participate in mindfulness, and enjoy healthy snacks in the staffroom throughout the week.
Health Week reminded us all that taking time to pause, move, connect, and try something new can have a big impact. The positive energy across the campus made it a fantastic lead-in to the celebrations of Lumen Day on Friday.
