VET Fashion Show

On the 5th of September, the students of the Applied Fashion Design VET Course, as well as a select few models of their choosing, participated in the inaugural fashion show as part of the course. After months of hard work, toiling away in the studio, at home, and BSC’s own textiles room (thank you, Miss Conroy!), the designs of Kaitlyn, Tianna and myself finally came to fruition.

The show boas pieces crafted from an old pair of jeans that were made and styled by myself, Op-Shop finds given new life, as seen on Tianna, Keanna and Scarlett, pieces from Jo and Co, the VET instructor Jo Hall’s fashion label, worn by Kaitlyn and Riley, and ensembles styled from our very own wardrobes, as pictured on Logan.

The event made the front page of The Ballarat Courier, which was an exciting achievement for us! We would like to thank Ballarat Christian College for hosting and organising the fashion show and Mr McClure, Mr Green, Mrs Hocking, Mr James and his wife Alex, as well as our friends, family members and models for taking the time to come and support us! It was a rewarding experience, and a lovely chance to show off our hard work from throughout the year.
