Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of St Brendan’s,

If ever there was a week to celebrate our school, students, teachers, Learning Support staff, parents, the performing arts and our community, this is the week! What an absolute joy it was to attend the magnificent Frankston Arts Centre to see St Brendan’s two wonderful performances of Moana.

I am beyond proud and delighted as a principal to acknowledge the leadership, teamwork, organisation, creativity, talent and commitment  leading up to and during the staging of this wonderful show.

I want to recognise the talent and commitment of our producer and director, Miss Emma Chapple. Emma taught and capably led her talented support team and our brilliant students. We are lucky to have such a highly skilled leader and teacher on our staff.

Our students absolutely blew me away with their talent and commitment. In both performances, the main casts were outstanding. Each student shone as they faced their own fears and told us the engaging story of Moana. Our students from Foundation to Year 6 who made up the chorus of the show, worked hard and engaged everyone with their performances of the song and dance routines. A special mention must go to our wonderful tappers! What a delightful part of the show.

Finally, I want to thank all parents who supported their children and Emma Chapple by responding to her requests around costumes and the collection of students from the venue.

It was delightful to see you and your extended families and friends at the theatre 2025. Thank you for your warm and positive feedback.

We look forward to staging another show at the beautiful Frankston Arts Centre.

I wish you all a great week.

Sue Carr
