Prep Transition

Today Friday 13th October, we had another Prep Transition session where we welcomed our 2024 Preps into the Prep Rooms. The children sang songs and we read “The Gruffalo” and then they all went back to the tables to make their own Gruffalo puppet, so everyone had a chance to be the ‘Gruffalo’.

While that was going on, the parents and families were invited to a parent Literacy information session. Mr Delaney talked about many different aspects of our Literacy program, including settling up regular reading routines and fostering a positive reading environment at home. Families had the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.

All too quickly the session came to an end and the children went home with their Gruffalo puppet – some families went to the Library to return and borrow a book before they went home.

We look forward to the next transition session on Wednesday 25th October at 12.35pm which will also be a parent information session, this time on Numeracy in Preps.
