This Friday the 13th of October the Prep students had Monique and Ryan from "The Lizard Wizard" visit during their STEM lesson. The students were introduced to many different Australian species including, a sugar glider, green tree frogs, scorpions, freshwater turtle, pythons, bearded dragons, water iguana and blue tongue lizards. We talked about each animals' habitat, where they live in Australia, what they like to eat and any special features the animals may have. The students also had the opportunity to touch or hold some of the animals.

This was a wonderful introduction to our "Living Things" unit for this term and it will be exciting for the students to build on their knowledge over the term.
