Connecting, supporting, and giving back

Extra donation to Kids Helpline

National Experience Manager, Suzi Cowperthwaite caught up with Marie Coleman from Kids Helpline and Yourtown recently to donate more than $11,000 from First National Foundation.

Thank you to everybody who participated in the Hobart Convention Foundation Golf Day and the Rural & Regional Muster charity auction for helping make this donation possible.

As First National Foundation’s major sponsorship, Kids Helpline provides a 24-hour telephone service that is available for young people (aged between five and 25) who need advice, counselling or just someone to talk to. No problem is too big or too small, and counsellors will not criticise or judge callers.

Postie Bike Dash supports disadvantaged kids

Our intrepid supporter of Variety’s Postie Bike Dash, David Doherty of FN Tamworth (NSW) has committed to riding his 10th bone-jarring Dash as ‘David Red Dog Doherty’. Also joining him on behalf of First National once again will be David Small of FN Coffs Coast (Coffs Harbour, NSW).

Variety’s Postie Bike Dash has enjoyed the sponsorship of FN Foundation for many years now, but a little known fact is that both of our riders must pay their own accommodation and fuel costs, plus take on the risks of a 1,500 km ride on older style Australia Post motor bikes.

Will you please support both David Doherty and David Small with their fundraising efforts? Every donation makes a difference and goes to the support of disadvantaged children.
