Last week, Victorian and Tasmanian property managers gathered at Hyatt Centric in Melbourne to hear from:

  • Chris Helder – Useful belief and colour
  • Julie Collins – Property management strategies, start with the end in mind
  • Fiona Blaney - Opening the ‘mental filing cabinet’
  • Felicity Vance – Dealing with tenants who are victims of domestic violence and empathy training
  • Shannon Wiseman - Honan Insurance
  • Kylie Davis – RISE initiative
  • Arakan Martial Artists – A fun and interactive session on self-defence

Designed to support the improvement of skills, wellbeing and work/life balance for our hard-working property managers, our IR Days have been met with enormous enthusiasm and engagement.

'Our team all said that this was one of the best conferences we had been to in a long time. Whoever organised the speakers did a great job. Thank you for having us. Everyone left feeling very inspired!'

'It was nice to attend to a conference that was not a drag of a day, It was fun, entertaining and interesting. I would have not changed a thing about the day. I valued the fact that there were so many different speakers for the day that were not the same, and all represented a part of a property manager's day to day tasks. For me, I loved the self-defence class. I guess we really do not take into account just what can happen. It was also a real eye-opener to have some insight into domestic violence. I think these topics are so important because they can and will get missed unless its talked about. Also LOVED Julie Collins, if she is at every conference. I am there!'

MEMBERSHIP: Planning for growth in South Australia

South Australian members convened last week at FN Glenelg (SA) for discussions about growth opportunities across the state.

Chairman, Rob Westwood said that after the state's two years of rapid growth, the South Australian economy is operating at a high level of capacity and, with very high levels of job vacancies, will continue to attract homebuyers and tenants from more expensive eastern states.

‘These economic conditions are optimal for new and existing real estate agencies that want to grow, and First National has the opportunity to expand its Adelaide footprint strategically, with the input of our membership,’ said Mr Westwood.
