Wellbeing Matters
Term 3 Wellbeing Day
On Thursday 14th September students K-12 participated in the Term 3 wellbeing day which focused on mental health. Students engaged in activities that allowed them to explore their feelings, how others feel and how to reach out when they have worries.
Primary students watched the movie 'Inside Out' and talked about the Zones of Regulation. They also made playdough stress balls, did some aromatherapy making lavender scented rice bags, participated in a yoga class with Miss Johnson and did some breathing exercises to finish the day.
Secondary students spent the morning at the Ex-Services Club participating in a seminar by the Gotcha4Life foundation, talking about mental fitness, seeking help and not worrying alone. The remainder of the day focused on smashing the stigmas of mental health and engaging in activities that can help dealing with stress and worries.
Students are to be commended on their efforts throughout the day.
