SMArt and Drama Night 2023

Wow! What a week it was last week! We had our dress rehearsal and evening show on Wednesday 13th September here at Boorowa Central. The dress rehearsal was a fantastic chance for our friends, St Joseph's Primary School and the Bee Centre to come and have a look at our Music, Art, Dance and Drama here at BCS. We received great feedback and we look forward to seeing them here again for other activities. We also had a few of the Burrowa House residents join us for dress rehearsal, and it was great to see them tapping their feet and showing some dance moves in the audience!

The evening performance was HUGE! Thankyou to all of our guests who enjoyed the night and supported our school and our Creative Arts program. From Kinder's 'The Bus' dance, to Stage 5's 'Who's on First' Drama performance, to Year 5/6's Fast Car song and everything in between, it was a showcase of the talent we have at our school and why the Arts are so important within the school community. Thanks to your generous gold coin donations and buying raffle tickets - we were able to raise $1147.50 for the purchase of performance equipment and professional support. This is essential for the success of our SMArt Night and all of the equipment is used to assist teaching also. A special thank-you to all staff, for the out of hours support and expertise you provided during rehearsals and performance to make the night such a success, our P and C for their brilliant efforts in the canteen and to all parents who sourced costumes, listened to practice sessions and supported in the audience - the memories that the kids make on these nights will last forever.
