Parents' and Friends'

We wish all students competing in Grand finals this weekend the best of luck and look forward to hearing all about the victories next week! We thank the incredible music department who have put in extra time and calmed many performance nerves (both students and parents) with a great number of students sitting their AMEB music exams this week. We especially send our warmest support to our Year 11 and 12 students as they knuckle down for the final stretch of exams next month, although perhaps our parents need the support equally! We are thinking of you all.

Whatsapp pages

Thank you to our class representatives who have assisted to run these pages. They are proving to be a useful communication tool and a great way for parents to introduce themselves and get to know one another.  We are thrilled to hear that several social events and introductions have been organised through this platform and we encourage this as a great means of social connection throughout the school.

Raffle

We are currently running an amazing raffle with prizes that we all need! A weekend away with dinner organised and some beautiful wine! Locations include Robe, Port Fairy and the beautiful Grampians - with only 1,500 tickets available, grab yours today from the Senior or Junior campus reception or by emailing us to purchase online paf@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au. We will be drawing this raffle on October 29th at the Open Gardens. See the flyer below.

Christmas cakes

Thank you to all volunteers who have put their names down for the annual Christmas cake bake-a-thon! We will be setting up next Wednesday, 13 September and weighing and bagging ingredients on Thursday, 14 September. We do require a couple more helpers on Thursday so feel free to pop in and say hello or help for a while.

Also, we will require extra hands between 9 and 13 October for mixing, so please email us if you have a day to spare, or even a morning. All help is greatly appreciated! Coffee and morning tea provided. Our Year 6 students have provided beautiful artworks with six chosen for the cake box decoration and all class pictures will be used to create Christmas cards gift packs. These will be available for sale in Term 4.

Open Gardens

Planning is well underway, and tickets are available for the Open Gardens on Sunday 29 October. We have a meeting this Friday, 8 September 2pm, at the Junior Campus (staff meeting room) for planning. We welcome anyone who would like to learn more, be a part of the day or simply garner more information. We thank the many contributors who are working hard to make this a fabulous day for the greater public. Tickets are available via QR code on our advertising or at https://tha.ac/opengarden.
