Prep & Grade 1

BLAST OFF! This term we are heading into space! Students are investigating the features of space ships, looking at the different shapes they can see. From there, students will work in small groups to plan, draw and build a rocket (or space ship) using materials in the STEM room.

Grade 2

This term, students are learning about Computer-Aided Design (CAD) using Maker's Empire. Students will use this software to 3D print their design to add to a fairytale/ fantasy scene they will make using materials in the STEM room.

Grade 3

Last term, Grade 3's used Minecraft to design a healthier future. This term, students will finish their designs and create a model of their world using materials in the STEM room. From there, students will be learning about Computer-Aided Design (CAD) using Maker's Empire. Students will choose an element from their projects to design and 3D print!

Grade 4-6

Last term, students designed and built towns in Minecraft to withstand a natural disaster. This term, students will continue to work on their designs. Once finished, students will make advertising materials (videos, brochures, etc) to show of their towns and it's safety features. Finally, we will be coding in the natural disasters and seeing if their designs will keep their townspeople safe!
