Principal's Report

Last week, our Year 12 students gathered with staff for their annual retreat. The day provided a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect and connect as a cohort, while also enjoying moments of celebration and fun - particularly when the 'Great Gatsby' made a memorable appearance at dinner. A second retreat day will be held later in the year to continue this important time of reflection and preparation for our Year 12 students as their secondary school journey comes to an end.
Over the coming weeks, our calendar remains full, with assessment periods, NAPLAN for our Year 7 and 9 students, and VCE assessments. I encourage all students to approach these commitments with determination and focus, and to actively seek the support and guidance of their teachers whenever needed. Learning is strengthened through perseverance and partnership.
We are now well into the season of Lent - a time that invites reflection, renewal and meaningful action. In the weeks ahead, our students will participate in the Caritas Ks event in partnership with St Mary’s Primary School and parish. This experience provides a tangible way for students to engage with issues of justice and global responsibility.
In a vibrant secondary school community, the message of Lent holds particular relevance. It calls us to slow down, to act with compassion, to serve generously and to recommit to the values that underpin our College - especially our theme of justice that is grounded in empathy and strengthened through action.
Next week, we look forward to hosting our International Women’s Day Breakfast, an event thoughtfully planned and organised by our Year 12 students and Mrs Gotch. This gathering offers another opportunity for the adults in our community to connect, celebrate and participate in College life. We anticipate it will be a positive and uplifting occasion for all involved.
God Bless.
