A Message from the Principal

Together We Learn, Together We Flourish

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our recent Open School days for prospective 2027 families was a wonderful success, with many new families visiting our school. We are pleased to share that these visits are already translating into enrolments for the coming year.

A special thank you to our year six students who proudly conducted the school tours. We received many positive comments from visiting families about how articulate, welcoming and knowledgeable our students were when speaking about their school. They are wonderful ambassadors for our community. I would also like to thank our teachers who warmly welcomed families into the learning spaces and showcased the excellent teaching and learning that takes place each day.

Many prospective parents shared that one of the main reasons they wanted to visit our school was the positive reputation StMM’s has in the community. Thank you to you, our parents, for continuing to speak so positively about our school and for sharing your experiences with others. This is truly what community is about.

Over the past two weeks, we have also seen the beginning of many of our extra-curricular activities, with a fantastic uptake in Jujitsu, Chess, Dance, Choir and Touch Football. It is wonderful to see so many students learning new skills and working with different students and teachers. These opportunities help develop well-rounded learners and allow students to explore their interests beyond the classroom.

Our students continue to be highly engaged in their learning. When visiting classrooms, it is wonderful to see students who can clearly explain what they are learning and why they are learning it. These are two great questions you can ask your child at home as well. These conversations help reinforce learning and encourage students to reflect on their progress.

Thank you for your continued support and for the many positive comments, emails and messages of appreciation we receive. They are greatly valued and reflect the strong partnership we share as a school community.

Kind regards,

Grace
