Stations of The Cross
At the end of last term, our school community came together in a meaningful way to pray and reflect through the Stations of the Cross.
Each class was assigned a station and spent time learning about its significance in Jesus’ journey to the cross. Students then represented their station through thoughtful and creative artwork, helping to bring the story to life in a visual and reflective way.
To share their learning, students led their peers through each station, guiding classes in prayer and reflection. At each stop, students also participated in an activity that deepened their understanding of Jesus’ sacrifice and love.
It was a reverent and engaging experience for all involved, allowing students to connect faith with action in a very meaningful way.
It was a beautiful way to conclude the term, reflecting on the journey of Jesus and the message of hope and love at the heart of our Catholic faith.
ANZAC Day Prayer Service
On Friday 24th April, our whole school gathered on the quadrangle after lunch for a special ANZAC Day service, led by 2CJ. The students shared with the school the significance of ANZAC Day, helping us reflect on the sacrifices made by those who served our country. They also shared some powerful Anzac Day prayers, calling for peace across our world.
The service included a minute’s silence, and the playing of the Last Post followed by the Reveille. It was a moving and memorable experience for all, and we commend our students for the reverence and respect they showed during this important moment of remembrance.

Good Shepherd Feast Day Celebrations
On Sunday 26th April, our school and parish community celebrated the Good Shepherd Feast Day, a special occasion in the Church calendar that honours Jesus as the Good Shepherd. This title reminds us that Jesus cares for, guides, and protects His people just as a shepherd looks after their sheep with love, patience, and commitment.
Father Andrew led a beautiful and prayerful Mass in the church, which was attended by many members of the Good Shepherd Parish, including students and families from our school. The Mass highlighted the powerful image of Jesus as the Good Shepherd, who calls each of us by name, knows us personally, and gently leads us in the right direction. It encouraged us to reflect on how we can also live as ‘good shepherds’ in our daily lives, by showing care, kindness, responsibility, and compassion towards others, especially those who may be lost, lonely, or in need of support.
Following the Mass, the parish hosted a range of fun and inclusive activities in the hall. These included bingo, face painting, art activities, and a barbecue, providing a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, share experiences, and celebrate in a spirit of joy and belonging. It was wonderful to see so many students and families attending and enjoying the day together.
Throughout the week, students across the school deepened their understanding of the Good Shepherd through classroom learning. They engaged in discussions, created artwork, and completed activities that explored how we can live out the values of Jesus in our everyday actions at school, at home, and in the wider community.
To conclude the week, 3BP led a prayer of the air focused on the Good Shepherd, bringing the community together in prayer and reflection.
It has truly been a week of remembering, celebrating, and giving thanks for what it means to be part of our wonderful Good Shepherd community, where we are called to follow Jesus’ example and care for one another with love and compassion.
