Academic Enrichment Activities 2026  - AMT and ICAS

We are offering a variety of academic enrichment activities for students at Good Shepherd to support the further development of their academic skills and passions. This year, the programs will include ICAS English and Mathematics, opportunities through the Australian Mathematics Trust, and a poetry competition.

These challenging activities provide students with opportunities to apply their classroom learning in new and different contexts, using higher order thinking and problem solving skills. Some extension activities will be completed within the classroom by all students, while others will be offered as extracurricular opportunities for students from Year 2 to Year 6. Families of students participating in optional extracurricular activities will incur the enrolment costs set by the providers prior to the commencement of the activity.

Outlined below is a guide to the academic enrichment activities, including pricing and key dates. Specific information and reminders will be communicated throughout the year via hard copies sent home with students, nForma, and the school newsletter.

Please note that participating year levels cannot be altered, as they are determined by the competition providers. Registration cut-off dates apply for each activity. If a student is absent on the day of a competition, we may be unable to reschedule or provide reimbursement due to competition regulations.
