Zero Tolerance

At LPS, we believe good leaders lead by example. Leadership is about actions and accountability. Good leaders ‘call in’ (improving knowledge and understanding) and ‘call out’ (through consequences) behaviours related to bullying and racism because silence can allow harm to grow.

At LPS, we are committed to creating a culture where every student, staff member and family feels safe, respected and valued. We will continue to stand together against behaviours that divide, exclude or diminish others, and instead promote kindness, inclusion and empathy in every part of our school community.

Bullying and racism are not always obvious. Sometimes they appear through microaggressions and microinsults — subtle comments, jokes, assumptions or behaviours that can make others feel unwelcome, unsafe or less important. These small actions can have a big impact over time. At LPS, we want our students to understand the power of words and actions, and to recognise when behaviour causes harm, even if it may not have been intended that way. We are committed to educating our community about respectful relationships, cultural understanding and the importance of speaking up when something is not right.

Creating a positive and inclusive school culture is everyone’s responsibility. Students, staff and families all play an important role in ensuring LPS is a place where diversity is celebrated and everyone belongs. We encourage our students to be upstanders - not bystanders - by showing courage, respect and empathy towards others. Through strong partnerships, clear expectations and ongoing conversations, we will continue to “Crack Down on Bullying and Racism” and build a community where every voice matters and every person is treated with dignity.

Upcoming Student Reports

The recent industrial action will have some impact on the upcoming student mid year reports.  The reports will continue to provide important details about student learning attainment, but full descriptive comments will NOT be included as a result of industrial action taken earlier this term by the Australian Education Union.  The LPS Semester 1 reports will be distributed in the final week of Term 2.  We will of course be pleased to discuss your child’s progress at our next parent-teacher interviews scheduled for Tuesday 28th July 2026.  We thank you for your oncoming support.

Education Support Personnel (ESP) Day

Education Support (ES) Personnel Day was celebrated at LPS during Week 4, Term 2.  This annual event is dedicated to recognising the essential contributions of school support staff.  From administration, first aid and library assistance to classroom support, maintenance, technology and allied health, these staff members keep schools running.

Behind every successful school day is an incredible ES team making it all happen!  Our Education Support staff are the quiet heroes of LPS. Their care, patience and dedication make a difference every single day.  A huge thank you to our amazing ES staff for everything you do.

Helmets on - every ride

It is concerning the number of children riding the school without a helmet and/or carrying not wearing a helmet.  This is particularly within the Senior School students.  It is a law in Victoria that cyclists wear an approved bicycle helmet.   Approved helmets have the Australian Standards Mark TM (AS/NZS 2063) and will be marked as suitable for cycling.
