Club de Español

We have been very busy at the Spanish Club during the first few weeks of term 2 creating a colourful crafty present for our special person on Sunday. We recycled the idea from our childhood in South America in order to make something special here at Newlands. We only used two materials: glue and craft sticks but lots and lots of them! The project started on Monday April 27 by making the base of the boxes and everybody was so engaged in getting started. Then over the weekend a few fairies advanced the project slightly and on Monday May 4 we finished with the beautiful colourful boxes.

In addition, as we have seen during term 1 the Spanish Club is growing by the term! We now have a great turn out with lots of parents being involved and trying to encourage our Spanish speaking!

1-     If you didn’t pick up your box by now you can do it after school today (8/05/26) please see Abner or Alberto

2-     We won’t have Spanish Club on Monday May 11 as the Spanish club members will be in a meeting.
