SAVER PLUS & VLINE INDUSTRIAL ACTION
SAVER PLUS
What is Saver Plus?
Saver Plus is a program for people on lower incomes. It’s about bolstering their financial skills, so they can develop (and keep) good savings habits.
Since 2003, Saver Plus has supported more than 58,000 people to start saving. It’s helped overcome the barriers around education expenses. And it’s set them up for a brighter future.
85% of our past participants said they’re better prepared to manage environmental changes (such as cost of living pressures or unexpected bills) since completing Saver Plus.
Saver Plus was developed by ANZ and Brotherhood of St Laurence, Berry Street is proud to be the delivering partner for the Saver Plus program in your school's area.
We try to make sharing this information with your families as easy as possible, with a few different options for your team to utilise.
I have attached 5 different flyers that can be utilised in your school newsletter, please feel free to rotate these images over the coming weeks.
I have also provided social media tiles with that can be paired together for full details.
There is a hive of activity happening through social media around Saver Plus, I have provided the links to ABC News, Beanstalk Mums and Channel 9's Today Show and encourage you to have a look at some of these tips and tricks to share with your school community.

PLANNED V-LINE INDUSTRIAL ACTION
You may be aware of planned V/Line industrial action next week, which may impact the school travel plans of some of your staff and students. This action will impact early morning V/Line train services on the following days:
- Monday 12 February 2024
- Friday 16 February 2024
- Monday 19 February 2024
- Friday 23 February 2024.
Normal services are expected to progressively return from 8 am on each of these days. The V/Line website details first train services per line. We ask that impacted schools be mindful of these planned action dates and understand that they may impact the ability of some students and staff to arrive at school on time. Impacted schools should encourage students who rely on V/Line services to still attend school on these dates – even if it means arriving at school later than usual.
