Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians

Thank you to those who have taken the opportunity this week to come and meet with classroom teachers. It is a great opportunity to share your wisdom about your child. If you were unable to make the meetings this week, please contact teachers to arrange an alternative time.

A reminder that our School Assemblies take place on a Friday afternoon at 2:45 pm. Parents and other family members are always welcome to join us.

Onsite Morning Supervision

This year we have had a large number of students on site before 8:30 am. It is great to see the enthusiasm from students ready to start the day. However, a reminder that supervision starts officially from 8:30 am. If on the odd occasion, your child/ren needs to be at school earlier than 8:30 am, we ask that they please sit quietly in the office area. 

We are finding that the large number of students talking in this space can impact phone calls and other office work.

I encourage parents who are looking for regular before-school care to fill out the survey from TheirCare later this year. If they get enough numbers they will look to run a service.

Sacraments 2024

This year we will work with the Parish and families to prepare students to undertake the Sacrament of Reconciliation. If your child/ren is in Year Three or above and you would like them to participate, we ask that you contact the office to register interest.

Early next term there will be an information session, with the Sacrament to occur later in term two.

School Council

This coming Monday we will have our first School Council meeting for 2024 at 6:00 pm. This is an open meeting and we invite any parents to come along and see what the Council is all about.

We will be electing a new Council Chair at this meeting. In the next newsletter, I will share who our new Chair is along with other Council members.

A couple of parents have spoken to me, and it seems that some responses did not come through. Therefore apologies if any oversights are moving forward. You need to click submit, once completing the form.
