A Message from the School Captains

Introducing our 2024 School Captains

Harriet

Hi! I’m Harriet and I’m one of the school captains for 2024. I’m so excited to be on the journey of school captain, I can promise you and your children a fun year full of activities and excitement. I will be a supportive school captain, by listening and helping students feel safe and comfortable at school. At St. Joseph the Worker we strive to Make Jesus Real, and I will show that through everything I do. A little bit about me is that I love sport, especially netball and I want to play football when I’m older. I play at a local Netball Club with a group of my friends also I represent Darebin Netball Association. I have 2 siblings who are younger and go to this school and a dog named Chilli. She is 3 years old. I love working and collaborating with my peers. I cannot wait to contribute in a positive way to St. Joseph the Worker in 2024.

Charlie

Hi, my name is Charlie. I'm one of the students and one of the School Captains at St Joseph the Worker. I think that with the people in my team this will be a good year for student voice and school improvements. I believe I'm a good fit as School Captain because I believe I am an amazing role model for all the students, showing kindness and bringing to life ‘Making Jesus Real’, alongside my fellow captains. Now enough about me, it's time to talk about why this is a great school! It's just a great school in general, but here are some reasons. We have devoted teachers, interesting classes, fun activities, great play equipment, a spacious playing area and of course the Chicken-Inn chickens. Thank you for your time and I hope to meet you soon.

Isabella

Hello, my name is Isabella, and I am 11 years old. I am in Grade 6 and am your school Vice-Captain for 2024 here at St Joseph the Worker. I love playing sports outside of school, which includes tennis and soccer, and I am starting the Australian Girls' Choir. I also love hanging out with family and friends. Being Vice Captain here at SJW is an honour and a privilege. There is a lot of big responsibilities, which I am ready for. I feel like being a school Vice-Captain is more than a fancy badge. It is about making a difference. And working together to represent and create a better place where students have a large voice in our community. I love our school community because we all embrace our school motto: ‘Let us work together’. It makes us live in a kind, wonderful, fun environment. I am a good fit for the role because I'm friendly, approachable, caring, and open to suggestions and opinions about our school. I will also be working alongside the staff and my fellow captains to make a difference and make the school a better place. I'm looking forward to working with my fellow captains, staff, school community and the students to make this the best year ever!

Bronson

Hello everyone, my name is Bronson and I am your school Vice-Captain for 2024. As Vice-Captain, I will lead by example by helping others in need and I will also provide support to the teachers and students. My interests include sport (footy, soccer, cricket, NRL). I enjoy going on bike rides with my parents. I specifically like riding down near the beach. I love taking my dog Ruby for walks at the dog park where she can run around and be free. She loves playing tag with the other dogs. If you see me out on the yard or within the school, be sure to come and say hello!
