Year 4

It’s been a busy fortnight in the Year 4 classrooms, with students engaged in a variety of learning experiences.

Literacy

In Literacy, students have enjoyed exploring the classic tale of Rumpelstiltskin. They recently worked in groups to plan and perform short role-plays, either based on a specific scene from the story or by imagining an alternative ending.

National Reconciliation Week

As part of National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June), students have participated in a range of classroom activities to deepen their understanding of Australia's shared histories and cultures. This important week encourages us all to reflect on how we can contribute to reconciliation. Take a look at some of the wonderful work from 4JS in the photos below.

Maths

In Maths, students have been learning about mapping skills, focusing on coordinates, scale, and giving directions. 4ED has created maps that demonstrate their understanding—check out some of their work below!
