Humanities Update

As part of our focus on Reconciliation Week, students have been inspired by indigenous artists and artwork in their Visual Art lessons. 

Foundation students listened to the Dreamtime story of The Rainbow Serpent and then used oil pastels to create their own colourful serpents.

Next week, Year 1 and 2 students will be exploring the artworks of indigenous artists Agnes Wotton and Jo Wilson then using patterned paper to create simplified 3D landscapes.

Year 3 and 4 students have begun creating colourful animal artworks and will be looking at the artwork of Bree Buttenshaw for inspiration for patterns.
