Welcome

Hello Vermont families and welcome to the Mathematics section of the Nurlendi News! Here is where we will share any exciting resources, news and activities from Maths classes across Vermont Primary School.

Year 3

The Year 3 students have been working on a project planning a holiday around the school for a snail. They used maps to plot a path, measured the distance between each stop and recorded their results in a table. Here 3BM are working together with trundle wheels to measure their distances.

Year 5

The Year 5s have created their own city design and it demonstrates their understanding of fractions, location and directions.

Year 6

The Year 6 students have been studying how to plot coordinates on a Cartesian plane.
