District Cross Country

“On the 15th of May 43 people from our school visited Bundoora Park on a bus to compete in a sporting event called district cross country. There were six different groups. 9-10 year old girls and boys, 11 year old girls and boys, 12–13-year-old girls and boys. The 9-10 year old students ran 2km and 11-, 12- and 13-year-old students ran 3km. 

There were 11 schools from our district and each one was allowed to enter 8 people per age group. That means that in each race there were nearly 100 people. The first ten people to cross the finish line get to go to the next round. Five people from our school qualified: Alex  Patrick, Felix. W, Leo and Sabine. They are all going to compete in division (the next round). Every student did so well, and it is an awesome accomplishment just to compete in cross country.
