Dear Parents and Caregivers

Year 6 Camp

It was wonderful to spend some time last week with our Year 6 students on Camp at Woodman Point Recreation Camp. The students represented themselves and our school exceptionally well. They all had a go at all the activities and the care and support for each other that they dispalyed was amazing to see! We are very proud of all of them for their participation and efforts.

Thank you Miss Kaylene Bederson, Mrs Joanna Bukara, Mr Mark McCormack, Mrs Elise Johnson, Mrs Julie Powell and Mr Luke Vine for attending the Year 6 Camp. A huge responsibility looking after our students overnight as well! Thank you also to Miss Mel Myles for being in attendance in the evenings too. The students were amazing, and everyone had an awesome time!

LifeLink Mass

It was wonderful to come together as a school community tto celebrate Mass on Tuesday morning with Fr Bona. Thank you to our Year 5 Teachers, Miss Brianna Alsop and Miss Alix Fitzgerald and the Year 5 students for leading us. Well done Oscar and Liam for Altar Serving so reverently and to Mr Navarro and the Choir for leading us in singing so amazingly!

First Reconciliation

Our Year 3 students and all the students in our Parish are excited for their First Reconciliation on Thursday 19 June. Keep the all in your prayers, as they experience this special Sacrament for the first time next week.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Keep in your prayers our Year 6 students and students in the Parish who have commenced their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation

Writing Excitement @ SHCPS

Students at St Helena's were very excited to find some golden eggs at St Helena's today and enjoyed orally retelling and writing a narrative about them. Have a conversation about the golden eggs at home too! Let the language and creative ideas flow on and hatch!

Code of Conduct

As we head into the half way mark of the school year, it is worthwhile revisiting

St Helena’s Code of Conduct, which applies to all staff, parents/caregivers and visitors. Our Code of Conduct describes minimum standards of conduct in all behaviour and decision making to ensure the safety and well-being of students at St Helena’s Catholic Primary School. Please also take the time to go over the Student Code of Conduct with your child/ren to remind them of our school expectations so that everyone feels respected, safe, engaged, cared for, happy and resilient.

Our Values at St Helena's Catholic Primary School

At our recent Staff Professional Learning Day we were fortunate to have Rev Mark Powell (Director Religious Education) and Melissa Trolio (Religious Education Curriculum Consultant) lead us in the day where we unpacked Gospel Values and relating them to our Values at St Helena's Catholic Primary School. We look forward to doing more with unpacking our values and bringing them to life amongst students and staff even more across the school in all that we do and say.

Ignatius Liturgy

All welcome to join us in celebrating our Ignatius Liturgy on Thursday 19 June at 10:15am. Read more about the day in the School Notices section.

Cross Country

Looking forward to our Cross Country next Friday 20 June. Thanks in advance Mr McCormack for preparing the students and your planning for the day with assistance from Mr Vine. Please refer to communication sent out in regards to the day's events.

Peace & Happy Days!
