PFA News:

Thanks and congratulations to everyone involved in Sunday's Ashburton Festival.  The weather was truly on our side, and we made over 800 snow cones, sold well over 200 cakes, biscuits, slices and jars of jam as well as a small mountain of lolly bags. We raised over $4,300 for the school - an amazing result!  It was wonderful to have the help of so many of the new families to our school, as well as the many old hands who once again stepped in to be part of the fun.  In addition to all the people thanked earlier in the newsletter, we do want to thank those who helped on the stall during the day: Amanda Tran, Lauren Prior, Emily Fadeyev, Monica Porta, Hayley Betros, Jo Adam. Jane Potter, Alex Pradun, Melissa Papazzo, Anna Sun, Jess Deschepper, Casey Brayley, Anna Schmerl, Sylwia Michalska, Clare Lorenz, Beatriz Minari, Esther Lam, Jyoti Francis (and Mrs Herbison!)  

Some more PFA events began to bubble away this week as well.  Many thanks to Jane Potter (Anna R and Claire R) for organising six fantastic prizes for our Easter Egg Raffle.  We can't wait to show them to you - they will hopefully go on display in the school office next week and books of tickets will be distributed shortly afterwards.  The raffle will be drawn on the last day of term - more details will be shared closer to the event.

The Mother's Day Stall Committee has started selecting presents, the Women's Brunch Committee have confirmed the date for our annual event - Sunday May 26th.  This is always one of the best social events of the year, so ladies, please mark the date in your diary now as you won't want to miss it.  More details will be shared in the next few weeks.

GET INVOLVED! ALL WELCOME!

As always, the PFA warmly welcomes any interested parents to join the committee.  The commitment is designed to be as family friendly as possible, with one (or two at most) meetings per term and we can arrange zoom participation if needed.  We need you and your ideas to continue to build the wonderful community that is St Michael's!  If you are interested - even just pondering - please contact Therese Molnar on 0417.014.772 or via therese.molnar@gmail.com.
