Science of Learning/Cognitive Load
On Tuesday this week, Annie Herbison, Elise Rimington and myself attended a School Improvement Learning Collaborative Network run by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools. The topic of this day was The Science of Learning/Cognitive Load. You may have heard this being spoken about in Educational settings or the media.
The Science of Learning is based on research that investigates the Cognitive Load of learners and how best to teach them.
We presented this to the School Advisory Council on Tuesday night and will be continually working with our staff to work through this new way of teaching and learning.
