Care for the Earth

Despite the hot weather, we have been able to clean up our school vegetable garden after the summer holidays and have already planted some cucumber seedlings grown from seed. The Year Twos have been busy shredding paper for our worms who were very grateful to be breaking down the children’s fruit and vegetable scraps after the long break.

School Vegetable Garden: Open every lunch (expect Friday) after the second bell for any students from Year 1 to Year 6. 

Battery Recycling: Please continue to recycle your old batteries in your child’s classroom. No button batteries please.

Wrapper Free Wednesday: This will recommence each Wednesday. Families are encouraged to avoid packaged foods particularly on these days so we can reduce our waste.
